The most unlucky cheerleader in the history of basketball?

Published Add your comment

It’s safe to assume that most people view being a cheerleader as a non-hazardous occupation.

Sure there’s a great deal of physical work to be done, and the monotonous task of rehearsing nearly every hour of your life, but for the most part there isn’t much chance of them being involved in the sport that they’re cheering.

Of course, as with most things in life, there’s always the chance that something would go horribly wrong. In this instance things went very horribly wrong.

During the Ohio State Buckeyes’ loss to the Iowa Hawkeyes, point-guard Aaron Craft went above and beyond the call of duty in order to dive for a ball under his own net…

The result? A cheerleader sitting under the basket got a little bit closer to a rampaging 6ft 2, 195Ib basketball player than she probably would have liked.

Watch the video above to see Craft take flight, before taking out an unsuspecting cheerleader.
