Perhaps not a particularly popular choice among Manchester United fans, Nani has provided a constant source of immense frustration over recent seasons at Old Trafford. While he undoubtedly possesses an abundance of talent, too often he fails to demonstrate it when it matters most.
Despite the player only putting pen to paper on a new five-year deal to remain at Old Trafford earlier this season, transfer speculation continues to engulf the Portugal international - with Serie A leaders Juventus seen as his main suitor.
While I'm not too sure many Manchester United fans would be sad to see Nani go, I believe he should remain with the defending Premier League champions until the summer. With the Red Devils suffering such an underwhelming start to the season under David Moyes, they need to keep the squad together and foster a sense of togetherness.
It's also not like Moyes has a number of other wide midfielders to call upon in his absence. Nani's new contract suggests that Manchester United do have faith in the former Sporting Lisbon starlet and now is the time to show it.
If he fails to perform between now and the end of the season, then by all means get rid of him. However, I believe Nani should be given one more chance to prove his worth.
