It has been a difficult few weeks for fans of German outfit Borussia Dortmund. While Jurgen Klopp's attractive side have fallen to fourth in the Bundesliga table and sit 12 points adrift of leaders Bayern Munich, they have also had to deal with the unwelcome news that star striker Robert Lewandowski will follow Mario Gotze's lead and join Pep Guardiola's Bavarian giants during the summer.
In addition to the prolific Pole, speculation has also linked Reus with a switch of his own away from Signal Iduna Park. The 24-year-old, who moved to Dortmund from Borussia Mönchengladbach last January, has netted eight goals and laid on five assists in the Bundesliga so far this season.
Now, call me old-fashioned, but I believe that if Reus truly does hold the club and their supporters in high-regard, then he should wait until at least the end of the season before seeking to depart the club.
