The Premier League has been littered with a number of top-class goalkeepers since its introduction in 1992 with the likes of Peter Schmeichel and David Seamen among the best shot stoppers to have plied their trade in England.

The current crop of goalkeepers are not bad either as top international goalkeepers such as Petr Cech, Hugo Lloris and Joe Hart are all playing for one of England's top teams.

Cech, at 31, is currently keeping Belgium number one Thibaut Courtois out of the Chelsea team, which shows just how high Jose Mourinho rates the experienced shot stopper.

Hart has started the season poorly but he will surely regain the ability and confidence needed to have a far better second half to the campaign.

Across Manchester and David de Gea continues to improve, while Arsenal's Wojciech Szczesny has also stepped it up a notch.

Here we take a look at the goalkeepers who have the most clean sheets in the division.

The following statistics have been taken from the Premier League's official website.
