Manchester City face a tough test when they play Barcelona in the Champions League knock-out round but Sergio Aguero insists the two teams go into the game as equals.
City will go into the game with high spirits after only finishing second to Bayern Munich in their group on goal difference.
After a disappointing home defeat to Bayern, the side from Manchester picked up an outstanding win away in Munich, coming from two goals down to win 3-2.
One of City's star men this season Sergio Aguero believes it will be a tough game but a good game reports Manchester Evening News.
Aguero said: “It’s going to be a nice match to play in. They are the best team in the world and it’s going to be hard.
“But we have a good squad and I believe that we are their equals. Beating Barca would be a major step for us – I hope we can make history for the club.”
The Argentine will hope to return from his calf injury before the tie after having an impressive start to the season scoring 19 goals before Christmas.
Barcelona finished four points clear in their group and with Lionel Messi back in their side, they will feel more confident.
Aguero has also been in contact with fellow Argentine Lionel Messi ahead of the stand out match of the draw.
Aguero said: "We’ve talked about the game. Leo’s from another planet and will always be the best player in the world.”
The teams face each other in Manchester on the 18th February and return to Barcelona on the 12th March.
