Premier League review: Five heroes and villains (2)

Hero - Adam Johnson

Football News
24/7

Adam Johnson dazzled the Fulham defence scoring three goals and assisting the only other goal in the game to lift his Sunderland side off the bottom.

The hat trick was an outrageous display to show what he is capable of doing and leaves Gus Poyet with a beaming smile following back to back wins for Sunderland in all competitions.

Johnson had been the difference in the Capital One Cup semi final first leg against Manchester United winning a penalty for his team and has now backed that display up with a man of the match performance at Craven Cottage.

If Johnson can continue this sort of form then Roy Hodgson will be forced to consider him as a contender for a World Cup place.
