It's been eight years since the Dallas Mavericks faced the Miami Heat in the 2006 NBA Finals, but Mavs' owner Mark Cuban still hasn't forgiven the Heat.

Talking to the Dallas Morning News, Cuban told reporters how he feels:

“Hate's a strong word, but it's probably not strong enough,” Cuban said of how he feels about the Heat.

“It's not the individual players at all,” he said. “It's just the whole representation of 2006 still sticks with me.”

The Mavericks blew a 2-0 lead in the 2006 Finals to lose 4-2, giving Miami its first NBA title. Dwayne Wade and the Mavs have a long-standing dislike for each other that goes back to the perception Wade drew too may fouls against the Mavericks in '06 among other small clashes with players in what was a fractious series.

The two teams met again five years later when the Mavericks toppled the star-studded Heat team.

That was when this current star roster was in its first year, with the triad of reigning-MVP LeBron James, Wade, and Chris Bosh losing to a Mavs side led by Dirk Nowitzki and Jason Terry for Dallas' first and only championship.

It's great to have rivalries in the league and this is very much an under-rated one.
