The Pro Football Writers of America released their All-NFL team today and there were no surprises at the quarterback position.
Peyton Manning of the Denver Broncos was nominated for the seventh year in an illustrious career.
Manning has broken the single-season touchdown record with 55 in addition to a league record 5,477 passing yards.
LeSean McCoy of the Philadelphia Eagles and Jamaal Charles of the Kansas City Chiefs were voted in at the running back positions whilst Josh Gordon (Cleveland Browns) and Calvin Johnson (Detroit Lions) are the wide receivers.
The Seattle Seahawks impenetrable defense is well represented with cornerback Richard Sherman and safety Earl Thomas both involved for the second straight year. JJ Watt from the Houston Texans is also a repeat selection from last year.
The Chiefs lead the player selections with three players whilst the Broncos, Eagles, Seahawks, Browns, Carolina Panthers, Tampa Bay Bucaneers and Arizona Cardinals each have two players.
There are representatives from each of the remaining four playoff teams with the exception of the New England Patriots. The Patriots had three selections in last year's team.
