Just as United are crying out for a midfielder, Arsene Wenger is in desperate need of support up top for Olivier Giroud.

Numerous names have been banded about in connection with the Emirates outfit as a result, but we feel that out of all of them Mitroglou is the most ill-suited to firing them to the Premier League title.

Though he boasts a prolific striker rate in Greece, the 25-year-old can hardly be expected to perform in what's considered to be the toughest league in the world.

This one has expensive European flop all over it.
