Arizona star running back Ka'Deem Carey announced today that he intends to enter the NFL draft this year.
Carey set multiple school records whilst at Arizona and led the Wilcats to an 8-5 record and a bowl victory this year.
In a statement, Carey said: "My time playing football for Arizona will always be very special to me and I want to thank the fans and the Tucson community for supporting me throughout my career. The future of Arizona football is bright. Bear Down.”
The Tucson native is just the latest in a group of elite running back talent which will be turning pro this year.
Auburn's Tre Mason, LSU's Jeremy Hill and Towson's Terrance West have all declared for the draft in May of this year.
CBS Sports believe that Carey could be the second runner of the board in either the first or second round in the annual selection event.
Carey rushed for 1,885 yards and 19 touchdowns in his junior year. During his three years at Arizona he had 4,918 all-purpose yards and 52 touchdowns. He is the seventh best rusher in Pac-12 history.
