New England quarterback Tom Brady thinks that nobody believes the Patriots can beat the Denver Broncos next week - nobody apart from him, obviously.
But don't shed a tear for Brady's lonely band of unfavoured Pats, because with the three-time Super Bowl winning quarterback at the helm, anything is possible.
Many bookmakers have the Broncos as strong favourites (-7 on the spread) to win the AFC conference championship and advance to the Super Bowl.
But speaking to WEEI, as first reported by Tom Curran of CSN New England, Brady said: "I know different times coach will make us aware of [outside opinions].
"I know when we played Baltimore no one picked us to win and no one's gonna pick us to win this week."
Brady may be right, many will pick the Broncos to win - but don't forget the Pats beat Manning and the Broncos earlier this season.
Admittedly that was in New England, a 34-31 victory for Brady in November. This Manning-Brady showdown will take place at Mile High in Denver, but Brady believes his side have what it takes to rise to the challenge - after all, that's what they've been doing all year.
With Rob Gronkowski and Danny Amendola out for much of the campaign, the Pats have been forced to develop a consistent running game.
That showed up last week, when LeGarrette Blount ran all over the Indianapolis Colts in the 43-22 divisional round victory.
And Brady believes the same team spirit could help them in their quest for yet another Super Bowl appearance.
"We've had our backs against the wall for a while, really the whole season," Brady continued.
"We've lost players and teams have really counted us out. We've got a bunch of underdogs on our team and we'll be underdogs again.
"We'll see how that shakes out at the end of the week. But we're as tough and physical as we've ever been and we're gonna go out and play this game and that's a great challenge for us to…go in there and try to beat them."
