LeBron and Manziel to share same management

LeBron James hinted at it a few days ago, but today Johnny Manziel officially announced that he has signed up with Maverick Carter and LRMR, who will handle some of Johnny Football's off-field projects.

Carter has been a long-time associate of LeBron James, and as the Heat player alluded to recently, James has been a key figure in persuading the former Heisman Trophy winner to sign up with the management company.

And it looks like Manziel has set his sights on replicating the mass marketing potential that James currently enjoys.

Bradley Beckworth, who will be handling the former Texas A&M man's business-related matters along with Jeffrey Angelovich, noted that after reviewing management models, the Manziel team was "most impressed by one uniquely established for the NBA's LeBron James."

Manziel's team also announced that Erik Burkhardt would be the players agent.

It looks like all those text messages from LeBron paid off then and the potential no.1 draft pick looks set to form a highly lucrative partnership with King James.
