Are you a LA Lakers fan, disappointed with their current losing streak?
Nick Young sympathises with you. "It's hard to be a Lakers fan, especially to see a game like the last one we played. It's tough," the forward said before practice on Monday.
He was referring of course to the Lakers' 87-123 humiliation at the hands of cross-city rival LA Clippers on Friday.
"You don't want to feel that again. That was embarrassing," Young continued. "I didn't want to show my face no more."
The Lakers' did have excuses for defeat, however they are currently missing five players through injury. Furthermore Pau Gasol, the team's best player is set to have a scan on an injured foot today.
In fact, the Lakers are so decimated by injury that they have lost 10 of their last 11 games and lie some pace of the playoffs in the western conference.
Young did voice some comfort to Laker fans who may have thought the team were giving up: "We're still the Lakers. We'll still go out and fight each night and try to turn things around.''
The purple and gold next face the Cleveland Cavaliers before a seven game road trip. Head coach Mike D'Antoni will be hoping for better results to save Young's blushes along with the Lakers season.
