Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi steered clear of each other as they voted for their own Ballon d'Or winner.
The individual award - which was won by Real Madrid superstar Cristiano Ronaldo - certainly seemed a tactical battle as a number of top stars voted for their club and international teammates.
And, despite Ronaldo taking first place and Messi second, the pair both left each other out of their own top three.
Ronaldo went for Colombian ace Radamel Falcao, new teammate Gareth Bale and ex-teammate Mesut Ozil. Meanwhile runner-up Lionel Messi opted for his three Barcelona teammates, Andres Iniesta, Xavi and Neymar.
England captain Steven Gerrard opted for both Ronaldo and Messi in his three man list as well as picking his Liverpool teammate Luis Suarez in third place. England coach Roy Hodgson also had Ronaldo at No.1, with Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Robin van Persie completing his list.
