It has been an encouraging start to Arsenal's season after 10 games they sit top of the Premier League table by five points and are also well placed in their Champions league group.
One thing that will need to be addressed is the lack of squad depth which has been highlighted by the Capital One Cup exit at the hands of Jose Mourinho's Chelsea.
One priority will be the lack of support for French target man Olivier Giroud, who has been on fire so far this season. However, there will be a time when he is in need of a rest and the lack of depth within this position is a worry with Nicklas Bendtner the only other fit striker available due to an injury list which consists of Theo Walcott, Lukasz Podolski and the unproven Yaya Sanogo.
Here are five options Arsenal could consider in the January window to strengthen their attacking force.
