Seahawks Derrick Coleman defies odds to face 49ers

With the Seattle Seahawks preparing for their NFC Championship game against the San Francisco 49ers, their fullback Derrick Coleman has had to deal with more than most.

Coleman lost his hearing at the age of three, and in 2012 became the first legally deaf offensive player in the NFL when he was signed by the Seahawks after going undrafted.

This video, narrated by and starring the player, highlights his struggle for acceptance and his determination to reach the top against the odds.

Having scored the first touchdown of his career in the Seahawks victory agains the New Orleans Saints in last weekends playoff match up, he is now setting his sights on playing in Super Bowl XLVIII.

Pretty inspiring stuff.
