One of the added perks of winning the NBA Finals is the fact you get to hang out at the White House with the President.
And after claiming back to back titles in 2012 and 2013 the Miami Heat today made the visit to the President's home in front of an eagerly watching media.
President Barack Obama was in relaxed mood as he met the players and staff, and the keen Chicago Bulls fan wished them luck for the future...as long as it wasn't against his Bulls.
In a speech honoring their achievements Obama thanked everyone from LeBron James and Chris Bosh, to Chris Anderson. With the Birdman's tattoos and mohawk getting a special mention also.
As Obama spoke the Miami Heat players, including Dwayne Wade and LeBron James who were positioned directly behind the President, seemed to enjoy what he had to say.
He also spoke of the similarities between the team and himself:
" Sometimes it feels like they're still fighting for a little respect. I can relate to that."
As the President closed his speech, Heat coach Erik Spoelstra presented the President with a replica of the O'Brien trophy which was emblazoned with each Heat member's name - along with '44 OBAMA' front and center.
The Heat will be hoping they will be back at the White House this time next year as they seek to complete the three-peat.
