By almost every measure, Shaquille O'Neal is not the second best basketball player of all-time - but don't tell Family Feud voters that.

Because according to a new vote, the show's viewers believe the former-LA Lakers center is indeed the best player in NBA history behind Michael Jordan.

The Big Lead reports the survey stated, if Jordan was considered the best player ever, who would you vote for at number two?

Now, you might think of names like Magic Johnson, Larry Bird, maybe Wilt Chamberlain or Bill Russell.

But you would be wrong. Because, according to 100 people surveyed by Family Feud, O'Neal is the second best basketball star of all-time.

The big man received 25 votes, with Kobe Bryant third with 16, Magic Johnson fourth with 15, Larry Bird fifth with 13 and LeBron James sixth with nine.

A few things here, clearly the producers interviewed a disproportionally high number of LA Lakers fans.

Because while Kobe and Magic would be expected to feature, having Shaq at number one and three Lakers stars in the top three is surely more than a coincidence.

Anyway, it's all a bit for fun for a show I didn't think anybody watched anymore.

But, now we're here, we'd like you to tell us who you think the second best player of all-time is, if Michael Jordan was unanimously considered number one (which is by no means the case).

Have your say...
