Manchester United manager David Moyes was reported to have been in attendance for Paris Saint-Germain's victory over Bordeaux on Tuesday night, just days after making a scouting trip to watch Juventus in Cagliari.
According to the Daily Mail, Moyes was in the stands Stade Chaban Delmas as PSG secured a 3-1 triumph in the Coup de France courtesy of goals from Javier Pastore, Adrien Rabiot and Marco Verratti.
While it appeared clear that Moyes watched Juventus with the purpose of seeing Arturo Vidal and Claudio Marchisio in action, the reason for his visit to see Bordeaux against PSG is less obvious.
Jeremy Menez, who started the encounter, has often been linked with a departure from PSG although there has been no clear interest from Manchester United. Pastore, too, has seen his long-term future in Paris called into question, and the Argentine could be the goalscoring midfielder Moyes craves.
Verratti, meanwhile, was frequently mentioned as a potential acquisition for Manchester United as Moyes strived to bring a creative midfield player to Old Trafford before during the summer transfer window.
However, the young Italian agreed a new contract with PSG before the start of the current season.
