Tottenham winger Nacer Chadli decides against January loan exit

Nacer Chadli won't be leaving Tottenham on loan this season, according to his agent.

The Belgian winger only joined Spurs from FC Twente in the summer, but has made just seven Premier League starts to date.

His agent Daniel Evrard revealed yesterday that a loan move away from White Hart Lane was on the cards ahead of the World Cup next summer, while also revealing that the winger was unhappy with his role under former Tottenham boss Andre Villas-Boas.

However it looks likely that he will stay put at Spurs until the end of the season.

We have thought about a loan," Evrard said. "But he has decided to stay."

Chadli is just one of many Tottenham players linked with a move in the January transfer window.

According to reports, record signing Erik Lamela would like to return to Italy on loan, while Lewis Holtby could be on his way back to Schalke. Napoli are said to have made an approach for midfielder Etienne Capoue - another summer signing.

Tottenham go up against Swansea in the Premier League this weekend.
