LeBron James got the crowd going as he slammed home an almighty alley-oop from a three-quarter court Dwayne Wade pass, but was unable to prevent the Miami Heat from slipping to a third successive defeat.
The Washington Wizards ran out victorious at the Verizon Center by 114-97 but it was LeBron who scored with the play of the night on his way to a personal haul of 25 points.
Wade spotted LeBron moving towards the rim and launched the pass from well inside his own half of the court for the four-time MVP to convert with an amazing dunk.
It was, though, to be a night of pain for the Heat as they were condemned to yet another defeat. The New York Knicks first beat them last Friday, before the Nets were next in line and the Wizards followed suit.
Next up for the Heat will be the Philadelphia 76ers at Wells Fargo Center before they face the Charlotte Bobcats a day later.
