World number one Neil Robertson is in the quarter-finals of the Dafabet-Masters after a narrow 6-5 win over Mark Allen at the Alexander Palace.

The recently crowned UK Champion didn't make it easy for himself, after not leading at all throughout the match Allen looked to be going to take the win after losing to Robertson at the same tournament last year.

"The Pistol" took the first frame with a 114 break before "The Thunder" pulled the game back level in the second frame but Allen then played out a scrappy third frame to maintain his lead at 2-1 and could have took a two frame lead if he had potted Pink and Black but Robertson levelled the game up again potting the black.

Allen then made a 38 clearance to take the fifth frame but the triple crown winner responded with his 66th century of the season, 101 to take the game to 3-3.

Robertson looked lost throughout the game, missing easy pots and Allen looked the strongest heading into the final frames but Robertson came out on top taking the deciding frame with 59.

Robertson will now go on to face Stephen Maguire in the Quarter-finals after his 6-4 win over Joe Perry on Monday.
