Things failed to go to plan for Miami Heat this week as the reigning two-time NBA champions suffered a third successive loss, succumbing to defeat at the hands of Washington Wizards by 114-97.

It was an evening they will be hoping to forget in a hurry and, even though managed to score 25 points, LeBron James will reflect on a game where he was unable to impose himself as readily as he would have liked.

One particular incident showcased the superiority of the Wizards defence at the Verizon Center as LeBron say an attempt at lay-up unceremoniously wiped-out by Nene.

With the scores level at 2-2 in the first quarter, LeBron was able to work some space after spinning Trevor Arize and headed on what looked like to be a clear path to the rim.

But along came Nene from behind the Heat superstar, with the Brazilian giant able to get the block and send LeBron crashing to the floor and off the court.

Take a look in the video above.
