Los Angeles Kings travel to St Louis Blues tonight in the NHL in one of the hotly awaited match-ups, with the Kings looking to improve after losing six of their last nine.
The Blues could have the upper hand in this game, having one eight of their last nine, but it's sure to be a tight contest as both teams renew hostilities tonight.
Every time these sides meet it is a physical game full of borderline violence that excites passionate fans of the game.
Kings' forward Mike Richards feels it will be the same tonight.
"I think every time a team plays us, I think because we have a bigger, physical team, that they try to play the same way, and St. Louis has that team that can play that same way," forward Mike Richards told LA Kings Insider. "They have some big guys, some skilled forwards, and solid defense."
In recent time the Kings have had the better of this particular match-up, with series wins in the post-season against the Blues two seasons running as they beat them in four games in 2012, followed by a six game win in 2013.
The injury report for both teams is reasonably lengthy. Kings' defenseman Matt Greene is out with a possible concussion.
For the Blues, Alexander Steel is doubtful also because of a concussion, despite practicing Wednesday, but there is not date for his return as yet.
Forward Maxim Lapierre was placed on IR as of yesterday, but Roman Polak has returned from a ten-game absence due to a lower body injury.
