Arsene Wenger says he is hopeful that he can announce contract extensions for Per Mertesacker and Bacary Sagna in the near future.
Mertesacker still has 17 months to run on his current contract and is expected to pen a two year extension to take him to the summer of 2018.
But things are more complicated for Sagna, who is free to negotiate a pre-contract with foreign clubs and can leave the club for free in the summer if he chooses.
Monaco and PSG are among the clubs believed to be ready to offer Sagna big money to leave the Emirates, placing the 30-year-old's future in doubt.
But Wenger has revealed that he is making good progress with agreeing deals and is hopeful of making an announcement soon.
Speaking in his press conference ahead of the game against Fulham, he said: "We are making good progress, and hopefully we can announce something soon."
Both players have played a key role in Arsenal's impressive Premier League form helping them towards nine clean sheets.
Arsenal currently have the joint-best defensive record in the Premier League and sit top of the table ahead of Manchester City and Chelsea who are one and two points behind respectively.
