After speculation which has run all week long, the news that many Seahawks fans were hoping not to hear (but were kind of expecting) has been announced.
Percy Harvin will not play for the Seattle Seahawks in Sunday's NFC Championship game against the San Francisco 49ers at CenturyLink Field.
The wide receiver made only his second appearance of the season in last weekends Seahawks-Saints clash but, unless the Seahawks make it to the Super Bowl, that will be his final action of the year.
He sustained a concussion after a clash with a Saints safety and he has subsequently failed to convince medical staff that he has recovered sufficiently to take to the field on Sunday.
Pete Carroll confirmed the decision today to the press.
