Manchester United midfielder Anderson has joined Italian side Fiorentina on loan until the end of the season after successfully completing his medical, according to BBC Sport.
The Brazilian joined the Premier League champions back in 2007 for a reported fee of £20million and has made just 117 appearances in six years.
The 25-year-old has fell out of favour at United since David Moyes took over starting just three games this season and has completed just one game since the start of 2012/13 campaign, the 5-5 draw with West Brom at the end of May.
Anderson's last game for the champions was the 2-0 win over Stoke in the League Cup back in December. Fiorentina currently sit fourth in the Serie A table 15 points behind current leaders Juventus and are also believe to have Southampton flop Gaston Ramirez as their next transfer target.
Manager Moyes told BBC Sport: "We've not been able to get him as many games as he'd hoped, or we hoped we might get him, we feel it's a good opportunity for him."
