Manchester United are ready to enter a transfer tussle with a host of Europe's biggest clubs to land AS Roma star Miralem Pjanic.
According to Italian publication Il Tempo, David Moyes is keen on the 23-year-old but will have to fight off interest from Barcelona, Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain if they want to sign him.
The report claims the Giallorossi are desperate to tie Pjanic down to a new contract after making himself an integral part of the first team since joining the Serie A side from Lyon in 2011.
However, the report also claims that Manchester United, Barcelona, Real Madrid and PSG sniffing around has made things more complicated with regards to a new deal.
The Old Trafford club have had a troubled start to the defence of their Premier League, the first season since Moyes took over following the retirement of Sir Alex Ferguson, and have struggled for attacking inspiration.
Wayne Rooney and Robin van Persie have injury problems this season, but the biggest criticism from fans has been the lack of creativity in the midfield, a problem that the guileful Pjanic could help to alleviate.
