Manchester United ready to offer €12m for midfield star

Manchester United are ready to pay €12million for the services of Inter Milan midfielder Fredy Guarin, according to Spanish source Mundo Deportivo.

The website, citing Italian news outlet Sports Mediaset, claims that David Moyes is desperate to strengthen his midfield and is looking to bring in a player to fill the space left behind by the departure of Anderson.

Both United and Chelsea have registered their interest in signing the Colombian enforcer, but with the Blues having acquired No.1 target Nemanja Matic earlier on this week Jose Mourinho is thought to be happy with his midfield options.

That leaves Guarin ripe for the taking, with Inter Milan chief Erick Thohir already having admitted that the club will not keep hold of him if he wants to leave.

Inter are said to be holding out for €15million for the 27-year-old and have already rejected previous advances from Chelsea, but it’s said that United are confident they can land him for €12million.
