Tiago Ilori is not heard of much but he actually now plays for Liverpool and is a real starlet defensively.
Sporting Lisbon were the old employers of Ilori, before he moved to Liverpool. But was the move actually good for his development as a footballer?
Before his move he played 20 games in the reserve team for Sporting, and also 12 games for their first team which isn't bad, he is only 20-years-old and at least he was getting time on the field.
But then he made the move to Anfield this summer, and all his hard work, grit and determination to reach the top at Sporting Lisbon came to a swift end. Was it a step too far too early?
In my opinion yes, he was playing well in Portugal, and the signs were definitely showing that he needs to be playing to develop, and has yet to appear in Liverpool's first team.
It has been reported that Brendan Rodgers is planning a loan move for Ilori, so after just five months settling in with the Reds, he is now set to move elsewhere once again.
I personally think that he would have been better staying in Portugal, where he'd been for six years and was having a good time.
Maybe it was for money? Maybe fame. We will just never know.
Another point to note is that Roy Hodgson's England are trying to get him to play for the Three Lions, but again just like Adnan Januzaj, should he really be allowed?
