I thought we did really well today. We were better than them and definitely deserved the three points.

We should have won by a bigger scoreline as we missed a couple of good chances near the end but that doesn't matter now as we have won the game and moved out of the relegation zone.

The first half was really tight - probably because there was a lot of tension among both sets of players as it was such a big game between two teams near the wrong end of the table.

It was quite a physical game but we handled it well and just kept the ball moving quicker than we usually do.

We missed Cameron Jerome a bit because he gives us something different but I thought Marouane Chamakh  done really well by holding the ball up and bringing other players into the game.

The win will give us a massive boost going into our next Premier League match against Hull City. The morale among the players has been good throughout the season but this will give us yet another lift.

Losing to Tottenham last week didn't really affect our team spirit as we knew we could bounce straight back by beating Stoke.

We have to make sure we win games against the sides that are around us in the league - starting with our fixture against Hull.

I am really pleased for Jason Puncheon. I didn't doubt him as I know he is a confident lad. He wanted to prove something today and he has definitely done that.

In terms of my personal situation, I am delighted that I am getting a run of games under the new gaffer. Hopefully I can start scoring soon.
