After making the play that sent the Seattle Seahawks to the Super Bowl, cornerback Richard Sherman delivered one of the most explosive interviews ever seen.

When approached by Erin Andrews, Sherman went off about San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Michael Crabtree. Sherman shouted:

"Well i'm the best corner in the game, when you try me with a sorry receiver like Crabtree that's the result you gonna get (the interception). Don't you ever talk about me!"

The stunned Andrews then asked Sherman "Who was talking about you?" The number 25's response was swift...

"Crabtree. Don't you open your mouth about the best! Or i'm gonna spell it for you real quick. LOB!"

LOB stands for 'Legion Of Boom.' It's the nickname Seattle's fearsome defence - of which Sherman is a major part - has earned after putting in several ferocious displays over the course of the season.

The ferocity stemmed from Sherman patting Crabtree after he had just lost. Words seemed to be exchanged as Crabtree then shoved the ex-Stanford Cardinal in the face.

Seattle won the encounter 23-17, setting up a Super Bowl encounter with Peyton Manning and the Denver Broncos after their 26-16 victory over the Patriots earlier in the day.

Let's see if Sherman can justify his claim as the best in the league in New Jersey on February 2.
