Eto'o claimed the match ball against United..

15 Premier League hat-trick heroes from Africa (1)

Published 2 Comments

Chelsea striker Samuel Eto’o joined an elite group of African players to score a hat-trick in the Premier League yesterday.

The Cameroonian striker bagged all three for the Blues yesterday, as champions Manchester United were beaten 3-1 at Stamford Bridge.

Eto’o doubled his tally for the club with his treble, and proved once again that only fools doubt Jose Mourinho when it comes to transfer business and general tactical trickery.

But let’s forget about the special one for a minute, and pay tribute to a continent that has provided countless stars to the English game.

Not all of them can be goalscoring machines, but a fair few of them have proved that they know where the back of the net is whichever continent they find themselves on.

And, without further ado, we take a look at those players who have done the business on our shores.

Enjoy the slideshow, and let us know which hat-trick is your favourite…
