New York Knicks small forward Carmelo Anthony has warned his side that they must start picking up wins at Madison Square Garden.

And Anthony believes the Knicks have the perfect opportunity to make amends for their recent three-match losing streak by beating arch-rivals the Brooklyn Nets.

The Knicks take on the Nets tonight in a game that will see the two sides currently occupying second and third spot in the Atlantic Division come face-to-face.

A win for the Knicks would put pressure on the Nets as both sides are chasing a spot in the NBA playoffs.

Anthony, speaking to the New York Post in the build up to tonight's match in New York, said the Knicks have to take advantage of their eight-match home run.

“This is our time to make something happen.

“If it’s any time this season, this is it, right now. We have a week and half here of home games where we could really make a push and gain some ground.

"This is very important two weeks for us. That’s the mind-set we have going into this home stretch."

The Knicks go into tonight's game on the back of a 109-95 defeat to the Los Angeles Clippers, while the Nets' last game saw them come out on top against the Atlanta Hawks at the O2 Arena in London.
