McRae at his arguing best.

Richard Sherman syndrome: 5 biggest interview meltdowns (2)

Hal McRae-zy!

A reporter was hit in the face with a telephone!

That's how mad then-Kansas City Royals manager Hal McRae got after a fairly innocuous question from a member of the assorted media.

After a 5-3 loss to the Detroit Tigers McRae seemed fairly relaxed in his post game interview. It then got a bit heated a reporter asked McRae if he considered pinch-hitting George Brett for infielder Keith Miller with the bases loaded.

What happened next was a massive over reaction. The manager snapped:

"Don't ask me all these stupid ass ****** questions! I have to put up with all these stupid questions every night."

McRae proceeds to throw the biggest tantrum a grown man ever has. Throw being the operative word there as he complete clears his desk, throwing papers, a drink and finally ripping a telephone off it's cables and launching it across the room.

The unfortunate stricken reporter can then be seen in shot, leaving McRae's office, with bloody dripping down the side of his face.

To add insult to injury, McRae wasn't even fired for his outburst.
