Oklahoma CIty Thunder's Kevin Durant and Indiana Pacers' Paul George have been named the NBA players of the week it was announced today.
George has guided his Pacers team to a three game lead at the top of the Eastern conference and they look strong enough to hold off the Miami Heat's threat in recent weeks.
Durant's Thunder are also doing well, in third place of the very competitive Western conference and are just one game behind the San Antonio Spurs.
George had 30.7 points per game this week and had a perfect record as the Pacers beat the LA Clippers, New York Knicks and Sacramento Kings.
Durant has been picking up the slack left by Russell Westbrook's long term knee injury. In the last four games the former Texas star has 39.3 points per game, six assists per game. Durant had 42.7% of the Thunder's points and 38.2% of their assists while he was on the floor.
