Zaha's Manchester United career hits rock bottom

Published 1 Comments

Wilfried Zaha's Manchester United career has sunk to a new low after he was left on the bench for last night's development squad match against Middlesbrough, reports the Daily Mail.

The 21-year-old winger - who arrived at Old Trafford in a £15million deal last summer - has failed to make any kind of impact since signing for the Premier League champions.

Red Devils boss David Moyes has handed the former Crystal Palace star just three senior appearances this season, prompting speculation about Zaha's future.

The England U21 international was expected to leave Manchester United on loan this month, in order to gain more regular first-team football in the Premier League.

A proposed switch to Cardiff City, which would see him link up with Old Trafford favourite Ole Gunnar Solskjaer in south Wales is understood to have broken down, resulting in a furious bust-up between player and club.

Now, just days after, Zaha appears to have fallen even further down the Manchester United pecking order, with U21s coach Warren Joyce choosing only to play the wide-man as a second half substitute in Monday night's 0-0 draw.
