As far as Premier League weekends go, the one we just witnessed was pretty darn entertaining.
With Arsenal and Manchester City both extending their runs at the summit of the Premier League, all eyes fell on Stamford Bridge to see if David Moyes' faltering Manchester United could upset the odds and emerge victorious over Chelsea on their own patch.
What eventually transpired on a brisk Sunday afternoon in West London was further proof that Manchester United are a declining force under Moyes' leadership. Chelsea were certainly not at their best, and Jose Mourinho would surely be the first to concede that.
However, despite not firing on all cylinders, the Blues proved to be far too strong for United and had Samuel Eto'o to thank for a simple hat-trick that saw Chelsea run out comfortable 3-1 winners.
Another intriguing weekend of action Premier League action got us thinking here at GMS, just who are the most talented and undeniably impressive players in the Premier League?
So, being the gluttons for punishment that we are, we have have decided to whittle such a list down to just eight names - the creme da le creme of the English top-flight, if you will.*
Take a look at our choices and please don't forget to leave your own thoughts/selections/suggestions in the comment box provided below.
Have we got it right? Which of our picks do you agree with?
Perhaps you feel we are wrong on one or more of choices and have obviously overlooked more worthy names?

*Please note, this is an opinion piece not based on any statistical data. In order to instill order, the list of eight will be made up of the two best players in each position - beginning with goalkeepers and ending with strikers.
We have decided that we will allow as many players as necessary to be selected from the same club, but not in terms of position. I.e, we could decide to include as many Manchester United players as we saw fit - but couldn't select two United goalkeepers, for instance.
