Former WWE superstar MVP has taken to social networking site Twitter to end any speculation about his future.
MVP, real name Hassan Hamin Assad tweeted: "For the record, I am STILL very much a free agent and have not signed any contracts with anyone. That is official.
"If I DO sign a contract with a wrestling company, you'll hear it from ME. No speculation necessary."
This speculation began yesterday when The Wrestling Observer apparently reported that Montel Vontavious Porter was a few weeks away from making his debut for TNA.
The former United States champion left WWE nearly four years ago and has since had a stint in New Japan Pro Wrestling, but after leaving the Japanese promotion back in February Assad has been a free agent and fans have speculated about both a WWE return and a TNA debut.
TNA's current money problems have led to them releasing many superstars over the past few months including, Matt Morgan, Brooke Hogan and former WWE Women's Champion Tara (Victoria). TNA's audience numbers are also lower than usual and the company could use someone of MVP's stature to help them to build TNA back up to the promotion it once was.
