Arsenal legend Thierry Henry is reported to have rejected an offer from Sky Sports to join their esteemed team of matchday pundits with immediate effect.
According to the Daily Mail, Henry has been asked to become a member of the Sky team but intends to continue playing for the New York Red Bulls until his contract expires at the end of the MLS season.
The former France international, now 36, is also reported to be keeping his options open knowing that he will be in high demand as a pundit when he eventually decides to retire, with BT Sport and BeIN Sport also keen.
Henry made his debut on Sky Sports earlier this season when Arsenal met Napoli in the Champions League, and impressed with his analysis alongside Gary Neville and Jamie Redknapp.
Arsenal lost the encounter 2-0 at the Stadio San Paolo but were still able to progress to the knockout phase of the competition, where they will meet Bayern Munich in the last 16.
It is unclear if Henry will return as a pundit on temporary basis for these two encounters with the Bundesliga champions, the first of which takes place at the Emirates Stadium next month.
