According to Spanish newspaper El Mundo Deportivo, Barcelona may have paid more than €57 million for the signing of Neymar from Santos in the last transfer window.
El Mundo claim they managed to get the leaked court documents for the Neymar transactions which took place last summer.
The Madrid based daily reports that Barcelona have paid a fee around €95 million which has been broken down as follows...
€40 million to the Neymar family,
€17 million to Santos,
€7.9 million for rights to three further young Santos players,
€9 million for two friendly games between the clubs,
€8.5 million in commission to Neymar senior,
€2.6 million in other agents’ fees
€10 million signing-on bonus.
The above payments were made in installments by Barcelona between the year 2011 and 2013.
Reportedly, there were some direct payments to the father of Neymar who was also his agent during his transfers were listed as “scouting a youth talent”.
This isn't for the first time that this type of news has emerged.
Sandro Rosell, the president of Barcelona faced cameras and has stated that there is nothing to hide about the Neymar deal.
If the above news is true, Neymar could well be the most expensive player in the history of club football as Cristiano Ronaldo; world's most expensive player was bought by Real Madrid for a fee around €94 million and Gareth Bale for €91 million.
