Top 10: Premier League stars who deserve new deals (1)

More than three weeks has passed of a relatively quiet transfer window and we are still waiting to see if the majority of top Premier League sides will empty their pockets in search of proven quality, with only Chelsea opening their chequebook to sign Nemanja Matic so far this month.

The vast majority of superstars featured on the Premier League rumour mill are yet to make a decision on their long-term futures, which makes it well worth casting a gaze on the future destinations of a group of proven performers all fast approaching the final year of their current contracts.

With that in mind GMS has identified 10 Premier League mainstays who are now into the last 18 months of their deals, waiting to see if they will need to seek pastures new or get the fresh terms their efforts so far this term fully merit.
