Another candidate pulls out of Cleveland Head Coach search

The shortlist for the Cleveland Browns head coach position just got shorter today.

Denver Broncos offensive co-ordinator Adam Gase has apparently told the Browns 'thanks but no thanks' in the consideration for the still vacant Head Coach role, according to NFL Insider Ian Rapaport.

Gase has apparently informed the side that he does not wish to be a part of conversations any more, and instead wishes to fully focus his time and effort on the upcoming Super Bowl clash against Seattle Seahawks.

It's a disappointing development for the Browns who were widely considered to have highly rated Gase, to the extent that he probably would've been a finalist for the role. They are also still showing interest in Seahawks defensive coordinator Dan Quinn, who like Gase will be focused on the title game in New Jersey at the moment.

Last week, owner Jimmy Haslam said the team is "prepared to wait as long as necessary" to hire a coach, and it looks like it will still be a while if they want Quinn.
