It seems that VW have developed a plan to top the most watched NFL Super Bowl advert of all time.
New York will play host to Denver Broncos and Seattle Seahawks in Super Bowl XLVIII in under two weeks, and commercials are part and parcel of the big day. But which one will be the most successful this year?
By the look of it, VW have developed an algorithm to make sure they are at the top of that list, with a bizarre Super Bowl advert teaser going viral today.
Carmen Electra, puppies, giant hamburgers, and balloons, amongst others, are prominent in the video that is certainly likely to be a parody.
In 2011, VW made the most-shared Super Bowl advert of all-time, and they'll be hoping to go one better.
Their advert last year was loosely related to the teaser that they ran prior to the game. In the end their advert included a white man with a Jamaican accent.
Whether this advert is a deliberate misdirection remains to be seen. Stay tuned to find out more down the road.
