Oklahoma Sooners cornerback Aaron Colvin has suffered a serious injury during practice at this years Senior Bowl.

Reports suggest the fear is that Colvin may have suffered a torn ACL, and should this prognosis prove accurate his draft prospects could be hit dramatically.

After a strong season with the Sooners which led to him being named his schools defensive MVP by ESPN, and earning All-Big 12 honors for the second straight year, Colvin was projected to be taken in the second round in May's 2014 NFL Draft.

Unfortunately for Colvin, should his injury prove serious NFL teams searching for a cornerback will undoubtedly shift their attention to a more healthy option.

People have in recent weeks questioned the decision of some Seniors to turn down the opportunity to take part in the Senior Bowl, with AJ McCarron coming under particular scrutiny.

But injuries like this one prove the inherent risk a player takes when accepting the invitation so close to the NFL Combine, and draft.
