Juventus striker Mirko Vucinic's agent will touch down in London today in a bid to resurrect the striker's proposed loan move to Arsenal after a switch to Serie A rivals Inter Milan collapsed last night.

Vucinic had a medical in Milan on Monday night and looked all set to join Inter in a swap deal which would have seen Fredy Guarin go the other way, but the Nerazzurri dramatically pulled the plug on that deal late last night.

Inter have decided that the move was not in their best interests and want to concentrate on strengthening their squad in other areas, which leaves Vucinic in limbo after going public with his desire to move in search of first-team opportunities.

The 30-year-old is now desperate to force through a short-term switch and his representative wants to open talks with the Gunners, with TuttoMercatoweb reporting that Arsenal will be offered the chance to snap up the Montenegro marksman on a season-long loan deal later today.

Gunners boss Arsene Wenger has so far turned down the chance to chase fresh attacking additions, preferring to wait on Nicklas Bendtner's return to provide cover for leading front man Olivier Giroud.

Wenger has just over a week to make his mind up over Vucinic or any other January signings, with Arsenal fighting for silverware on three fronts without Theo Walcott, who is sidelined for the rest of the campaign by a knee injury.
