England are done and dusted and they have been thoroughly crushed courtesy some exceptional bit of Cricket from Australia.
As England are 3-0 down now, the only task for them is to salvage some pride and avoid another clean sweep which won’t be easy at all. Though, the Englishmen will be relieved by the fact that Clarke, Haddin and Warner have been rested for the remainder of the series.
On the other hand, Giles hasn’t shown his cards yet i.e. he hasn’t given any hint yet whether Cook, Bell will get a much needed break. In my opinion, they should be rested now because they too need some time away from the game.
Talking about the changes that England can make in the fourth game at Perth, Michael Carberry should surely be brought in because he deserves a game, Root could be brought back as well just in case Giles decides to rest Bell as well as Cook.
Coming to the bowling changes, Tredwell should probably sit out because of his poor show in the last match and Rankin should be brought back in as his height could threaten the Australian batsmen on a pacy and bouncy WACA track.
What the Ashes’13 winners won’t like to do this time is give the advantage of a good start away if they get one like they did on the previous occasion after Cook and Bell got the team off to a flier and then the rest of the line-up destroyed it all. Can the British finally get a win then?
