LA Lakers have reported that guard Xavier Henry will miss Thursday's game agains the Miami Heat with a knee strain injury.
Henry who suffered a knee bruise in December was thought to be on the road to recovery but Mike Trudell today reported that Henry will not practice and is still a number of days away from a return.
The former Kansas player has been a shining light for the dismal Lakers, averaging 10 points a game prior to his injury.
The Lakers are also missing Jordan Farmar, Kobe Bryant and Steve Nash and Steve Blake all to long term injuries with no possible returns scheduled.
LA have fallen to 13th in the Western conference and would need a miracle at this stage to even have a chance at a playoff berth.
The Lakers have lost seven of their last nine games and will hope to return to winning ways during a road trip that will take in the Heat, Orlando Magic and the New York Knicks.
