Queens Park Rangers boss Harry Redknapp has urged Tottenham to make a decision on whether they are going to recall Tom Carroll from his loan spell at the club, according to Sky Sports.
The attacking central player has impressed fans during his time with the R's, having made 14 appearances and helped Redknapp's team push for an automatic promotion place back up to the Premier League.
Tottenham have suffered several injuries to central midfielders and reportedly, Tim Sherwood is considering recalling the England U21 to act as cover. The new Spurs boss is still yet to make a decision but Redknapp is keen to know if he will have to search for a replacement.
He is quoted as having said: "I'm not sure what's happening."
It is known that Sherwood likes Carroll and thinks a lot of him as a player, and while he has recently progressed Nabil Bentaleb from the academy to a regular first team player, it is clear he is not afraid to try out young talent.
Redknapp has asked that Sherwood does not leave it to the last minute of the window to recall Carroll because that would leave QPR in a very problematic situation.
