Kobe getting some air.

The best scorers in NBA history (2)

Published Add your comment

5. Kobe Bryant

How could i possibly ignore the man who scored 81 points in one game!?

Kobe is possibly the most prolific scorer in the modern game. Lebron is getting close to him - LBJ does have the greater points per game average - but Kobe has done it consistently over a longer period of time.

His game is certainly complete. He has the best post game of any guard currently in the NBA, his mid range shot is perhaps the best since Jordan's, and his long range game is actually better than Jordan's (34% career 3pt shooter).

He is fourth on the all time points scorers list, and could quite conceivably surpass Jordan and move in to third place as he is only 592 points behind the great one.

At 35 years of age his best years are behind him, but if the 'Black Mamba' can get back to fitness he still has the ability to terrorize defenses for a couple of years to come.

Career Stats:

- 4th leading all time scorer (31,700)

- 25.5 ppg average

- 2 scoring titles
